This policy explains how Useful Machines Teknoloji A.Ş. (“Useful Machines”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit usefulmachines.co or contact us by email. It covers this website only. Each of our mobile apps has its own privacy policy, available in the app and on its store page.

Who is responsible

Useful Machines Teknoloji A.Ş., Istanbul, Türkiye, is the data controller for the data described here. You can reach us at hello@usefulmachines.co.

What we collect

We keep this site simple. It has no sign-up, no forms, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies.

• Technical data. When you load a page, our hosting provider automatically processes your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• Emails you send us. If you write to hello@ or deals@usefulmachines.co, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include, such as app links or revenue figures.

How we use it

• To run, secure and troubleshoot the website.
• To reply to your message and, if you are selling an app, to evaluate it and discuss a possible deal.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal basis

We process data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering enquiries, steps you request before entering into a contract, and compliance with legal obligations. This applies under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where relevant, the EU and UK GDPR.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers who process data on our behalf:

• Amazon Web Services — website hosting and delivery (servers in the EU, delivered via a global content network).
• Cloudflare — domain name (DNS) services.
• Google — web fonts loaded from Google Fonts, and our email service (Google Workspace).

Some of these providers process data outside Türkiye and the EU, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Hosting logs are kept by our provider for a limited period for security and operational purposes. We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting deal, and afterwards only as long as required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, or receive a copy of it. You can also exercise your rights under Article 11 of KVKK. To make a request, email hello@usefulmachines.co. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, such as Türkiye’s KVKK Board or your local authority in the EU or UK.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and app owners. It is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
